However, to accomplish that, we need your help and your voice in .   The Chehalis Basin Strategy has been spearheaded by the Chehalis Basin Work Group, made up of representatives from the agricultural and environmental community as well as the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation, Quinault Indian Nation, Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority and governor’s office.

Chehalis Basin Board meetings. Due to the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order to combat the ongoing public health emergency, the Office of Chehalis Basin is changing the May 7, Chehalis Basin Board meeting to an online only meeting via WebEx. The Chehalis River Basin (Basin) lies between the Deschutes River Basin on the east and the Cowlitz River Basin on the south, the Willapa Hills on the west, and the Olympic Range on the north (Figure 1). The Basin includes parts of Lewis, Thurston, Cowlitz, Pacific, Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson, and Wahkiakum counties.

The communities that make up the Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority (Lewis County, Grays Harbor County, Thurston County, Centralia, Chehalis, Napavine, Pe Ell, Aberdeen, Cosmopolis, Hoquiam, Montesano, Oakville and Bucoda) live under the threat of catastrophic flooding predicted to get worse in the years and decades ahead. Since Flood Authority members have endorsed a [ ].
